A Three-Part Promise

Experienced in the law. Rooted in Wright County. Committed to justice.

01 / Experience

Thirty years in the courtroom.

A former twelve-year Wright County Prosecutor, thirteen-month Acting Texas County Prosecuting Attorney, and current Municipal Court Judge in the City of Cabool — with extensive jury-trial experience on both sides of the aisle.

02 / Roots

A lifetime in this county.

A 1988 graduate of Mountain Grove High School. Returned home in 1996 to establish a private law practice — turning down jobs in metropolitan areas. Raised four children here. Now expecting a grandchild to be raised here, too.

03 / Commitment

A judicious temperament.

A pledge to listen carefully to the evidence, decide cases on the law, and bring calm, fair, compassionate judgment to every case — without partiality, without political agenda, and without fear or favor.

Meet Jason MacPherson

Thirty years of service to Wright County.

On February 24, 2026, I filed as a Republican candidate for Wright County Associate Circuit Judge. I'm asking for your support and your vote on August 4.

I feel blessed and thankful for the opportunity to have served the citizens of Wright County for the last thirty years as an attorney and prosecutor. Through my professional experience — and with my life lessons as a father, husband, and friend — I believe I have the experience, wisdom, and maturity, as well as the calm, judicious temperament, to make a fair, compassionate, and honorable judge.

Upon earning my law degree, I returned home to Mountain Grove in the fall of 1996. I turned down jobs in metropolitan areas to come back and serve the people of my hometown and the surrounding area — and I've been here ever since.

Family

I'm married to the love of my life, Robin, and we have four grown children: Sam, Jimmy, Gus, and Jozey. Robin, originally from Seymour, is the owner and operator of Paw Spa, a pet-grooming salon in Mountain Grove, and serves as the office manager and bookkeeper for the MacPherson Law Center.

A family of law

I was born into a family immersed in the law. My mother, Cynthia, was the first elected female prosecutor in the State of Missouri — she served as the elected Wright County Prosecuting Attorney and is a retired Associate Circuit Judge, having been appointed and then re-elected to the bench in Ozark County. I also have an uncle who is a retired judge and an aunt who is a retired attorney in the State of Illinois.

Family

Where I'm from. Where I'm staying.

Wright County is where I grew up, where I returned to start my career, and where Robin and I raised four children — all graduates of Mountain Grove High School. They've grown into the kind of adults this county tends to raise: hard-working, honest, and grounded. We're now expecting a grandchild who will be raised here, too.

The values of honesty, hard work, and respect that I learned here are the values I live by — as a family man, a neighbor, and a professional. Those are the values I'll bring to the bench.

Dogs, the woods, and a quieter kind of work.

When I'm not in the courtroom or practicing law, you'll find me participating in the traditional American heritages of hunting and fishing — and most of my free time goes to raising and training Labrador retrievers for shed antler competitions.

There's a discipline to it that translates to the courtroom: patience, attention to detail, and the kind of steady, unhurried decision-making that good work demands.
